What is a Letter of Invitation?

A letter of Invitation or an Invitation letter are terms used for an official document required by Ministry of Interiors, Government of Pakistan from all foreigners applying for a Pakistani Visa.

Who can give me an Invitation Letter?

Any Tour Operator registered with the Department of Tourist Service, Government of Pakistan can offer an Invitation Letter.

We are a registered company and can offer you a Letter of Invitation for Tourist/Trekking visa. Check out our blog post on our visa assistance here.

Are you eligible to offer a Letter of Invitation?

Yes, The Tourist is a registered Tourism Agency in Pakistan and we can offer a Letter of Invitation (LOI) to anyone applying for a Pakistani Tourist or Trekking Visa

Can you also offer visa assistance with the LOI?

Yes, we also offer visa assistance with the Invitation Letter to all our client.


How can I get an Invitation Letter?

We offer a free Letter of Invitation to everyone booking a tour with us. You can visit our tour packages page to know more about our tours. We can also offer a tailor-made tour for you, DM us for more details with your travel dates, preferred areas to explore, country of origin & No. of persons.

If you don’t want to book a tour with us and still need an Invitation letter, we would need you to stay at our partner hotels with a service fees of USD 75 and we would give you an Invitation Letter. The letter would be notarized, as per requirements of the Government of Pakistan.

 You can also get a free LOI from us, if you are booking an air ticket for your flights from and to Pakistan with us.

What information is required for an Invitation letter?

We would need from you a scanned copy of your passport, your travel dates, travel itinerary (in case you are not booking a tour with us) and your contact details. We would also need 50% of your tour price or an advance booking with the processing fees before we deliver you the Letter of Invitation.


How soon can I get an Invitation Letter?

It normally takes us around 24 hours to process a Letter of Invitation. 


What else should I expect from you with the LOI?

We would also give you a scanned copy of our tourism license, our contact details for any inquiry & the scanned copy of the CNIC of our director. Embassies often ask you about these documents as a further proof for your visa.

What are the best areas to explore in Pakistan?

If this is your first time in Pakistan, here are some of the you should do first:

Landscape: If you love the landscapes, you should definitely explore the Karakoram Highway, Hunza Valley, Gojal, Fairy Meadows, Naltar Valley, Swat, Skardu, Khaplu in Ghanche as well as the Ghizer district.

History & Heritage: If you love the history or heritage, you should explore the Takht Bhai in Mardan, Gandhara ruins in Taxila, Walled City of Lahore, Harrapa in Sahiwal district, Mohen jo daro in Sindh & Peshawer.

What is the best time to explore Pakistan?

The best time to explore the northern area of Pakistan is from April to November if are coming for a road trip in the north. The temperature during this time would be moderate to cold in the north.

If you are planning to do treks or hikes in Pakistan during the summers, the best time is to visit between June & September. This is the time when all of the areas leading to high altitude passes would be accessible.

Otherwise, if you are planning to do adventure during winters, the best time would be from January to March.During this time of the year, there would be lot of snow everywhere in the north.

If you are planning to explore the southern parts of Pakistan, the best time would be from November to March, when they aren’t hot. 


Is Pakistan Safe?

Pakistan is completely safe apart from some areas in Balochistan & along the Pak-Afghan Border, which are already off limits for all the foreigners.

How to cancel a tour with The Tourist?

 Just send us an email or a whatsapp message for tour cancellation. We would acknowledge the message and get back to you on the refund. 

Do you offer bike tours?

Yes, we do love to ride on a bike. We also offer bike tours across Pakistan. We already had done a number of bike tours and love to show you how Pakistan looks on a bike.

We would offer you a tour on a 125cc manual bike, 150cc semi-automatic bike as well as on 250cc bikes. If you are coming with your own bike, we can also plan a tour for you.

What is the payment method?

We take payments using Bank transfers or cash. We usually ask 50% as an advance when booking a tour and remaining payment as cash, when you arrive here in Pakistan. 

What is your refund policy?

We make refunds in case of cancellation of tour as follows.

a. If tour is cancelled two months or before the starting date of tour, we would only deduct 30% of the total payable amount.

b. If tour is cancelled one month before the starting date of your tour, we would deduct 50% of the total payable amount.

c. No refund would be made if tour is cancelled within the last month before the starting of the tour.


Do you offer any discounts?
